MAIN PURPOSE: The HSEQ Advisor supports the organization in achieving its health, safety, environmental, and quality objectives by providing guidance, oversight, and practical solutions to ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and applicable regulations. This role works closely with operations, management, and field personnel to drive a proactive safety culture, minimize risk, and maintain high-quality service delivery. The HSEQ Advisor also oversees aspects of building and facility management to identify, address, and mitigate potential safety hazards.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety preferred or five (5) years of relevant experience in OSHA technical & operations training in an HSEQ role, preferably in oil & gas, construction or manufacturing.
- Facility and safety inspection experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal HSEQ regulations.
- Effective incident investigation and report writing skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and HSEQ reporting systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Strong knowledge of ISN TQ, Quick Checks, and administration tasks.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Health & Safety
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and behavioral safety observations to ensure compliance with HSEQ policies and legal requirements.
- Participate in risk assessments, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and permit-to-work reviews.
- Provide guidance and coaching to supervisors and employees on safe work practices.
- Support incident investigations, including root cause analysis, corrective actions, and reporting.
- Monitor and track safety performance indicators, reporting trends and recommending improvements.
Building, Facility & Inspection Management
- Inspect and monitor company buildings, offices, and operational facilities to identify and mitigate safety hazards.
- Conduct facility inspections, including, but not limited to: rigging, electrical, general facility, or any other inspection as instructed by the manager.
- Ensure emergency systems (fire alarms, extinguishers, evacuation routes) are maintained and compliant.
- Oversee repairs, maintenance, and facility upgrades that impact safety and compliance.
- Coordinate with facility managers and contractors to address structural, mechanical, or environmental risks.
Environment
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company sustainability initiatives.
- Support environmental impact assessments and waste management programs.
- Promote pollution prevention, resource conservation, and spill prevention measures.
- Experience with Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality is desirable
Quality
- Assist in maintaining compliance with ISO 9001, API, or other relevant standards.
- Support quality audits and inspections to ensure products and services meet client specifications.
- Verify that quality control procedures are followed in operations and maintenance activities.
- Deliver HSEQ inductions and toolbox talks.
- Assist in delivering of weekly safety meetings at facility locations and online
- Support training programs on hazard awareness, regulatory compliance, and emergency response.
- Promote a strong safety culture through effective communication, engagement, and leadership.

It is mandatory that the incumbent is familiar with and follows the Company's Policy for Health, Safety, Environment and Quality and takes an active part in the compliance and improvement of the Management Systems to maintain our system certification. The incumbent must report any accidents, incidents, near misses, actual or potential problems with products, services or systems to the HSE(Q) Department Manager.
The incumbent also has legal responsibilities under country-specific health and safety legislation to follow all Company policies, procedures, guidelines, control measures, signage and permit conditions and to know what to do in an emergency. The incumbent is also responsible for the health and safety arrangements of subordinates (if any) and for any persons visiting them while on the Company premises.
