Tax Accountant

Main Purpose: The primary responsibility of the Tax Accountant is to ensure the accurate maintenance of tax records and the preparation of tax returns, schedules, and reports. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
Main Responsibilities:
Tax Records Maintenance: Maintain and update tax records, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
Tax Return Preparation: Assist in the preparation and filing of local, state, and federal tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Sales Tax Process: Supervise and manage the sales tax process, including the preparation and filing of sales tax returns.
Contract Review: Review contracts and agreements to identify and address potential tax issues, providing input and recommendations.
External Advisor Interaction: Collaborate with external tax advisors to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, and to address any tax-related inquiries or issues.
Tax Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of tax regulations and local compliance requirements, providing detailed reports and recommendations to management.
Audit Support: Assist with tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities, providing necessary documentation and information.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, and recommend improvements to tax processes and procedures.
Required Skills:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience: 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in tax accounting or a related field.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members, external advisors, and regulatory authorities.
Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload efficiently.
Collaboration: Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
